I give these books a 3 out of 5 stars
Description: Kaitlyn and her friends have escaped Mr. Zetes and are now looking for the place Kaitlyn keeps dreaming of in hopes that the people there will be able to help them with the psychic web they are caught in and hide from Mr. Zetes and Joyce. Along the way they suffer from psychic attacks that turn out to be students from the pilot study Zetes had conducted before bringing in Kaitlyn and the others.
Upon rereading this series they were enjoyable but some what simplistic compared to the YA novels out there today. Still it was interesting reading about psychics instead of vampires, werewolves and fairies. Zetes plan to put together a psychic strike team to hire out to the highest bidders is a scary thought and it reminded me of the newer adult series that I love, the Ghostwalkers, by Christine Feehan. The whole idea makes me wonder if there could really be a secret project going on somewhere to see if these abilities really exist and can be harnessed as a weapon.
The romance side of this story that kept me hooked was if Kaitlyn would end up with the golden boy Rob or the bad boy, Gabriel. Usually it seems like the golden boy wins out and yet there was the chemistry going on between Kaitlyn and Gabriel. Want to know what happens? You have to read the books!

I really want to read more books by this author in 2010. I didn’t get to this year.

I am a huge LJ fan and I didn’t like this as much as Nightworld. I agree it is somewhat simplistic but again fun to read about brain over blood.
