The holidays are a wonderful time to get together with family and friends to celebrate and of course eat!  Since all of our blogging friends are spread out across the world Amy, Nicole and Julie put together this wonderful virtual dinner party.  The  Book Blog Social Club is going to be the hub of the event so be sure to stop by and collect a bunch of yummy recipes.

And now…it’s time for the dessert course!  One of my favorite desserts are cream puffs.

creampuffs

This is my all time favorite recipe that a friend passed on to me.  It’s easy to make and I haven’t taken it to any gathering without at least one or two people asking for the recipe.  And sorry but no those are not my cream puffs pictured above but I just loved the display.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box pepperidge puff pastry
  • 1 box instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 tub cool whip
  • 1 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar

Preparation:

1. Thaw puff pastry as directed on box. Cut into 1 1/2 x 2 inch pieces. Bake as directed on box.

2. Soften cream cheese and mix in pudding, milk, powdered sugar and cool whip.

3. Pour mixture into zip lock bag and snip one bottom corner slightly.

4. Cut puff pastry in halt and fill with mixture.

5. Top with powdered sugar if desired.

Totally yummy and I have yet to see anyone stop at just one cream puff.  Enjoy!  If you are looking for some other yummy dessert recipes Reading Adventures will be featuring a White Chocolate Cheesecake and Devourer of Books is whipping up a batch of fudge.

Wow, I love cream puffs and this would be much easier than making the puffs entirely from scratch!
