Who Would You Pick-Fallen Angels Edition
I wanted to have some fun awhile back so I started this little series of Who Would You Pick? It’s been awhile since I posted the last showdown but I really wanted to get back into this because I love hearing everyone’s opinions.
Originally I started noticing that a lot of the books I was reading involved love triangles and quite a number of them aren’t clearly black or white on who the heroine should choose. Both guys all have their good points and are not totally bad. So how about a series of who would you pick if you had the two guys fighting over YOU and why?
I decided in this post to open it up to fallen angels. Seems like it’s a up and coming theme in books recently. Which one would you pick as your boyfriend, husband, lover? Or convince me that there is another fallen angel out there I just have to check out.
I’m hoping to get your help on this one because although this showdown has floated in my brain for awhile it’s been a long time since I’ve read some of the key books I wanted to mention.
So in corner 1 we have Daniel from Lauren Kate’s book Fallen. He’s hot and sexy, fights evil and still treads on the side of good despite having fallen.

In corner 2 we have Patch from Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. Yes, he’s also sexy and hot (is that just redundant?) but he’s also a jerk. Yet the fact that when he falls in love with someone he is willing to change and fight to move back to the side of good is also very attractive. How can you not like someone who is willing to make that sort of effort for you?

In corner 3 they aren’t really fallen angels but more of fallen warriors are the Lords of the Underworld by Gena Showalter. They opened Pandora’s box and were cursed to contain the evil they released within themselves. We’ve met five of the lords so far-Aeron (demon of wraith), Sabin (demon of doubt), Reyes (demon of pain), Lucien (death himself) and Maddox (demon of violence). Despite housing these demons they were all once honorable, immortal warriors. Can you resist an immortal who despite carrying this burden manages to live a semi-honorable life? They are utterly loyal to their friends and the women they love. What’s not to like?

In corner 4, he’s not from a book and technically not fallen but he is a rebel angel and he is hot. Castiel from the tv series Supernatural! He truly is an angel but he was willing to break from the fold to do what he thought was right even if it meant giving up his life. Can’t deny loving that in a guy.

So that’s what I have to offer. Who would be your pick and why?

My vote would be for Xas from The Vinter’s Luck/The Angel’s Cut by Elizabeth Knox. Although the movie departed from the book in several ways (mainly removing the main relationship that was in the book) Xas was played by Gaspard Ulliel in the movie, so that should give you an idea of looks there.
Here’s a still from the movie: http://i48.tinypic.com/2dqngnc.jpg

I’ve not read the Gena Showalter series so can’t speak to that but I did read the other two. I know it’s not popular but I really didn’t mind Patch in Hush Hush. I’d say though, that despite his flaws Daniel in Fallen is probably the better choice he too has attitude but it’s a bit more muted.

Obviously I have a lot more angel books to read! Thanks guys!
Michelle-I know a lot of people didn’t like Patch because he was kind of a jerk but I kind of like it when the jerks turn sweet.
