Google Friend Connect Going Away
Many of you already know that Google Friend Connect (GFC) will stop working on non-Blogger sites as of next month. It makes me sad that Google felt the need to take this step and try to push everyone to Google+ (see more here). So I’m hoping the almost 500 of you who follow me through GFC will continue to follow me via other methods. Before March 1 please add me to your reader, subscribe via email for updates or follow me via Linky Followers. I heard about Linky Followers from Literary Obssession as an alternative for WordPress users. You can follow me via the widgets over on the right hand side of the page and it looks like:
I really appreciate all of you that follow this blog so thank you for all the support!

I think I’m kind of loving the Linky Follow so far.
Thanks for the mention, and I’ve followed via the Linky! I’ve been following for a good year+ (I think?) via RSS – I’m curious; does anyone actually use things like GFC/Linky Follow to read posts? Or is it via e-mail or RSS? It seems to me, often at least, that the widgets are just there for follower count – useful to the blogger, but not so much to the reader?
